Lauren Alexandra Wessel is a full-time, published photographer and painter from Louisville, Kentucky. She studied fine art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received her BFA in 2013. She is an avid traveler and spends her “free time” gardening; smothering her beloved cat, Beowulf, with affection; and planning Renaissance Faire adventures and costumes. Lauren currently lives in Northern Kentucky and travels back and forth to Louisville for work and creative projects. Her creative work is inspired by art history, and focuses on the human body, female form, and reimagining archetypes in her style. She is also a landscape and travel photographer (when she can be), and her favorite landscapes tend to include mountains.
